I don’t want my clothes to ever be a hassle for efficiently mom-ing, but I don’t want to ever not look somewhat chic. It’s easier said than done, which is why most of the time I’m in leggings or jeans, but on those occasions where I want to wear a dress, I’ve found that below the knee dresses are my best friend. Out with the mini and in with the midi.
Let’s be real — there are SO many moving parts when you’re a mom and you’re out and about with your babes… so having to worry about your top or your bottom showing while getting your kids in or out of the car and into the stroller/picking up everything your toddler is throwing on the ground/diaper changes (the list goes on), it’s just not something I want to be worried about. I sure don’t need any other distractions in my life (#mommybrain), especially from my wardrobe. So now, when I come across a cute midi dress, I get it in my shopping bag immediately.
This super lightweight, mid-calf length dress is so perfect for running around with your babes. I wore this to Sunday brunch with the family this past weekend and not once did I have to ask Tim for assistance for reasons having to do with my outfit not being conducive for mom-ing 🙂
I paired it with my new favorite slides — which, side note, I literally can’t get enough of… they dress up anything — and this new Bauble Bar necklace that I’m obsessed with. I threw on a pair of Tory Burch shades and felt chic and comfortable.
