When I was pregnant with Olivia, I talked to all of my mom friends and everyone told me I had to the get the Orbit stroller system. I did and I loved it… so much. It was super easy to use, looked awesome and best of all, you could convert it to a double stroller and even add a skateboard ride-on thing for a third kid to cruise along with, too. In July, I ordered the Orbit toddler carseat, stroller seat and some accessories I didn’t have for the system, but decided to wait closer to my due date to get the double stroller attachment. Well… I wasn’t really checking my emails this summer and totally missed the memo that Orbit sold and was no longer carrying any products, so it was a big shock to me in January when I went to order the attachment to find that it no longer existed. I emailed the company (they are still reachable for warranty issues) and they said they were so sorry, but I was out of luck. I searched high and low for a used one and every time one popped up on an auction site, there would be bidding war that ended up being double or triple the original price. I gave up and started doing research on a new stroller… which was the last thing I thought I’d ever do again.
After nights of research and talking to a few friends who had the strollers I was debating on, I made my decision and ordered the UPPAbaby Vista and the UPPAbaby Mesa carseat. I’m actually so glad I ended up having to get a new system because I’m even more in love with this one than my Orbit. It is an expandable system, so it can accommodate one, two or three little babes and in different configurations (you can use a car seat and a regular stroller seat, the regular stroller seat and a bassinet, or two of the same PLUS the ride along board option for the third child). I thought the Orbit handled nicely, but this stroller is so much sturdier and has an extremely smooth ride. The cargo basket underneath holds anything and everything I ever have with me and is actually big enough that if I’m just running into Target for a few things (LOL) I can fit it all down there without having to get both girls in a cart (and I save Tim money that way because I legit only grab those few things I need, so he is also a big fan of this!). The stroller comes with the bassinet and a stroller seat (RumbleSeat), but you can use the car seat on the system as well and it has converters for other brands, so it’s not limited to just the UPPAbaby car seat.
Overall, I absolutely love it and I think the only con would be that it is pretty heavy/large. Definitely liftable and I don’t struggle at all getting it in and out of my car, but it is noticeably heavier than my previous stroller. And because of the size, I would assume you need an SUV to carry it. When mine is in the back of my SUV, with the bassinet next to it, it takes up the entire surface area of my trunk — but I think that is to be expected with a high quality, expandable stroller 🙂 Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions!
