The best fashion advice I have that I swear by is this — even if you have no idea if or when you’d ever wear something, if you love it and it speaks to you, buy it. Because you will ALWAYS find the perfect opportunity to wear it and you will definitely thank yourself later. This happens to me on the reg, and it just happened again this week.
I have been so excited to go see the Marc Chagall, Flowers and the French Riviera: The Color of Dreams exhibit at Selby Gardens that opened this week and when I saw people start posting pictures, I was immediately IN LOVE with the newly planted field of salvia (intended to look like lavender) overlooking the bay. It is seriously one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen. And that’s when I knew that the purple tutu tank top dress I bought for Livi would not go to waste.
It was perfect weather, sunny and 75 degrees, which made for the most wonderful time exploring the gardens. We weren’t able to see the entire exhibit, because Liv was very focused on running around and playing, so it’s definitely something I’ll need to do without the baby, but from what I saw, it was just amazing. We finished our little date with playtime in the Children’s Rainforest Garden and then grabbed some lunch. It was such a perfect afternoon with my people.
Oh, and I was super bummed because my 39 week pregnancy brain was in full force and I brought my Nikon without a charged battery…so all of the photos were shot with my iPhone :/
